Potassium silicate powder is the dried form of potassium silicate solution, giving formulators the same low-efflorescence binding behaviour in a dry, blendable material. It reconstitutes in water and can be dosed directly into dry mixes.
Typical use is in welding flux and electrode coating blends, ceramic and refractory bodies, and specialty construction dry mixes where a potassium-based silicate is specified.
