Solid feedstock for potassium silicate systems.
Potassium silicate glass is the fused solid form of potassium silicate, supplied as lumps or cullet for customers who dissolve silicate on their own site. As with sodium silicate glass, the ratio is fixed during fusion and carried forward into the dissolved product.
It suits processors making their own potassium silicate solutions, and specialty manufacturers formulating glazes, fluxes and refractory binders from solid feedstock.
Ratio set at fusion
Controlled melt chemistry before the material ever leaves the plant.
Freight efficient
Solid form avoids shipping solution water.
On-site flexibility
Dissolve to the solids content each batch requires.
Low insolubles
Clean melt handling limits residue and contamination.
